Advance-Marine Gearbox Introduction

Hangzhou Advance Gearbox Co., LTD, was founded in 1960. In 2008, the company completed the shareholding system and was officially changed into Hangzhou Advance Gearbox Group Co., LTD., which was listed in Shanghai Stock Exchange in October 2010.
According to different technology platforms and application fields, the company has developed seven series of products including Medium-Low Duty series, lMedium-Heavy Duty series, Light Duty & Hight Speed series, GW series, Special Gearbox, and Electric Propulsion System.
Our marine gearbox products covering ranges from 10 kw to 10000 kw marine gearbox design development and manufacturing capabilities, which has been widely used in fishing boat, carrier, special ships and other types of vessels. New Breakthrough in China’s Wind Power Industry: Sliding Bearing Gearbox Localized

In Jilin Province’s CGNPC Yuantong Sankeliu wind farm, 30 smart wind turbines have been in operation for three years, using China’s independent research and development and production of sliding bearing gearboxes, and realized “zero failure”. This is the first time that sliding bearing gearboxes have been used in the domestic wind power field in large quantities, verifying the feasibility and reliability of the technology in wind power application scenarios.
According to the relevant person in charge of the wind farm, compared with the traditional rolling bearing gearbox, the sliding bearing gearbox can reduce the power loss of about 20%-25%. This means that under the same input conditions, the power generation of a wind turbine can be increased by about 0.5%. A 3.3 MW onshore wind turbine, for example, can generate an additional 1,075,140 kWh of electricity over its entire lifecycle, which is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 360 households.

This technical article focuses on a high – power marine gearbox with PTO (Power Take – Off) and PTI (Power Take – In) functions. Traditional marine gearboxes have limitations, such as a lack of PTO and PTI functions, which can’t meet the diverse needs of ships. The new gearbox is composed of a hydraulically controlled clutch and gear transmission, working in conjunction with an adjustable pitch propeller. In PTO mode, the main engine drives the integrated motor for power generation, making use of residual power and enabling battery charging. In PTI mode, the shaft – driven generator gets power from the ship’s power grid for propulsion, enhancing ship maneuverability and achieving “zero” emissions. The gearbox is designed to overcome the drawbacks of traditional ones, offering advanced functions, low cost, high reliability, and high precision. It can reach six working states. The PTO and PTI clutches are arranged in series to realize different functions. With a reduction ratio range of 2:1 to 6:1 and a rated input transmission capacity of 3.448kw/rpm, it can withstand a propeller push – pull force of 450KN. This gearbox is suitable for multi – purpose work boats and ocean fishing vessels, leading the way in marine transmission with its high – efficiency, intelligent, and reliable mechatronic hybrid features.

New Breakthrough in China’s Wind Power Industry: Sliding Bearing Gearbox Localized

In Jilin Province’s CGNPC Yuantong Sankeliu wind farm, 30 smart wind turbines have been in operation for three years, using China’s independent research and development and production of sliding bearing gearboxes, and realized “zero failure”. This is the first time that sliding bearing gearboxes have been used in the domestic wind power field in large quantities, verifying the feasibility and reliability of the technology in wind power application scenarios.
According to the relevant person in charge of the wind farm, compared with the traditional rolling bearing gearbox, the sliding bearing gearbox can reduce the power loss of about 20%-25%. This means that under the same input conditions, the power generation of a wind turbine can be increased by about 0.5%. A 3.3 MW onshore wind turbine, for example, can generate an additional 1,075,140 kWh of electricity over its entire lifecycle, which is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 360 households.

This technical article focuses on a high – power marine gearbox with PTO (Power Take – Off) and PTI (Power Take – In) functions. Traditional marine gearboxes have limitations, such as a lack of PTO and PTI functions, which can’t meet the diverse needs of ships. The new gearbox is composed of a hydraulically controlled clutch and gear transmission, working in conjunction with an adjustable pitch propeller. In PTO mode, the main engine drives the integrated motor for power generation, making use of residual power and enabling battery charging. In PTI mode, the shaft – driven generator gets power from the ship’s power grid for propulsion, enhancing ship maneuverability and achieving “zero” emissions. The gearbox is designed to overcome the drawbacks of traditional ones, offering advanced functions, low cost, high reliability, and high precision. It can reach six working states. The PTO and PTI clutches are arranged in series to realize different functions. With a reduction ratio range of 2:1 to 6:1 and a rated input transmission capacity of 3.448kw/rpm, it can withstand a propeller push – pull force of 450KN. This gearbox is suitable for multi – purpose work boats and ocean fishing vessels, leading the way in marine transmission with its high – efficiency, intelligent, and reliable mechatronic hybrid features.

New Breakthrough in China’s Wind Power Industry: Sliding Bearing Gearbox Localized

In Jilin Province’s CGNPC Yuantong Sankeliu wind farm, 30 smart wind turbines have been in operation for three years, using China’s independent research and development and production of sliding bearing gearboxes, and realized “zero failure”. This is the first time that sliding bearing gearboxes have been used in the domestic wind power field in large quantities, verifying the feasibility and reliability of the technology in wind power application scenarios.
According to the relevant person in charge of the wind farm, compared with the traditional rolling bearing gearbox, the sliding bearing gearbox can reduce the power loss of about 20%-25%. This means that under the same input conditions, the power generation of a wind turbine can be increased by about 0.5%. A 3.3 MW onshore wind turbine, for example, can generate an additional 1,075,140 kWh of electricity over its entire lifecycle, which is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 360 households.

The new gearbox is composed of a hydraulically controlled clutch and gear transmission, working in conjunction with an adjustable pitch propeller. In PTO mode, the main engine drives the integrated motor for power generation, making use of residual power and enabling battery charging. In PTI mode, the shaft – driven generator gets power from the ship’s power grid for propulsion, enhancing ship maneuverability and achieving “zero” emissions. In Jilin Province’s CGNPC Yuantong Sankeliu wind farm, 30 smart wind turbines have been in operation for three years, using China’s independent research and development and production of sliding bearing gearboxes, and realized “zero failure”. This means that under the same input conditions, the power generation of a wind turbine can be increased by about 0.5%. A 3.3 MW onshore wind turbine, for example, can generate an additional 1,075,140 kWh of electricity over its entire lifecycle, which is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 360 households.

New Breakthrough in China’s Wind Power Industry: Sliding Bearing Gearbox Localized

In Jilin Province’s CGNPC Yuantong Sankeliu wind farm, 30 smart wind turbines have been in operation for three years, using China’s independent research and development and production of sliding bearing gearboxes, and realized “zero failure”. This is the first time that sliding bearing gearboxes have been used in the domestic wind power field in large quantities, verifying the feasibility and reliability of the technology in wind power application scenarios.
According to the relevant person in charge of the wind farm, compared with the traditional rolling bearing gearbox, the sliding bearing gearbox can reduce the power loss of about 20%-25%. This means that under the same input conditions, the power generation of a wind turbine can be increased by about 0.5%. A 3.3 MW onshore wind turbine, for example, can generate an additional 1,075,140 kWh of electricity over its entire lifecycle, which is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 360 households.

This technical article focuses on a high – power marine gearbox with PTO (Power Take – Off) and PTI (Power Take – In) functions. Traditional marine gearboxes have limitations, such as a lack of PTO and PTI functions, which can’t meet the diverse needs of ships. The new gearbox is composed of a hydraulically controlled clutch and gear transmission, working in conjunction with an adjustable pitch propeller. In PTO mode, the main engine drives the integrated motor for power generation, making use of residual power and enabling battery charging. In PTI mode, the shaft – driven generator gets power from the ship’s power grid for propulsion, enhancing ship maneuverability and achieving “zero” emissions. The gearbox is designed to overcome the drawbacks of traditional ones, offering advanced functions, low cost, high reliability, and high precision. It can reach six working states. The PTO and PTI clutches are arranged in series to realize different functions. With a reduction ratio range of 2:1 to 6:1 and a rated input transmission capacity of 3.448kw/rpm, it can withstand a propeller push – pull force of 450KN. This gearbox is suitable for multi – purpose work boats and ocean fishing vessels, leading the way in marine transmission with its high – efficiency, intelligent, and reliable mechatronic hybrid features.

After learning that the Hangzhou Intellectual Property Protection Center has accepted high-quality patent rapid pre-examination business in the manufacturing field since October 2021, the Hangzhou Gear Group Technology Center responded quickly and carefully selected two valuable high-quality invention patents-“Processing method and correction tooling of heavy-duty herringbone gear rings processed by split assembly” and “Internal and external tooth alignment control structure and processing method of high-speed precision heavy-duty herringbone gear rings”, and actively applied to enter the rapid pre-examination channel. In order to ensure that these two patents pass the pre-examination smoothly, the Hangzhou Intellectual Property Office organized experts to go to Hangzhou Gear Group to conduct on-site inspections and in-depth docking on the company’s technological innovation. After a comprehensive evaluation, the experts unanimously recognized the technological innovation strength of Hangzhou Gear Group and agreed to the company’s application.
